in my practice, i have found that with many babies it takes 10 days to 2
weeks for most moms and babies to get "really" good at Breastfeeding
-- I ask that moms wait for 2 weeks beyond that point to make sure that the
baby has really got it together -- hence the about 4 weeks suggestion (leaves
2 weeks for return to work moms to stock their freezer) -- it has not failed
me yet.
