hello, anouther option for gratuities is to accept the money and help the
mom fill out a membership ( then she will get new beginnings mag.) or a
donation form. I keep them in my briefcase. you can help her see that by
donating or joining la leche league you are thanking you and helping alot
more moms to breastfeed. I do find that from time to time moms need to pay
for my volunteer services or they feel like a burden and wont call on my
help again. I also let an editor mom I helped put an ad for our group in her
paper, it was her way of saying thank you and she needed me to honor it.
