These are really important points. I suppose we really shouldn't be talking
about whether or not breastfeeding (and breastmilk) really "increase"
intelligence, but rather the emphasis should be on how much formula feeding
(and formula) *reduce* intelligence. All the same arguments apply: is it the
formula that lacks something? Or is it that parents who choose formula tend
to be of lower intelligence anyway and interact less with children?

Breastfeeding really doesn't make "smarter" kids or increase IQ, it merely
supplies each baby with its natural, intended level of intelligence. lack of
breastfeeding, then, will supply *less* intelligence.
