Unfortunately, active duty mothers are facing the reality of the power of
their signature. Anyone who joins up knows that there is the possibility of
deployment/seperation from their infants/children/loved ones. When females
become pregnant while on active duty, most have opportunities to separate
from the service. When they do not CHOOSE to do this, they agree that they
will abide by their "contract" and serve as needed. Sadly for many mothers,
nursing or otherwise, this separation is pending due to international
affairs. Nursing or otherwise, those who were not prepared to live up to
their agreement bet on the wrong horse. I am working with many mothers who
are facing this - its heartbreaking but unfortunately a reality of the
field they chose to go into.
