I too am mourning the cancellation of my Australian trip!
Hirschsprung's is an absence of nerves in the intestinal tract, usually in the rectum.
Surgery is done to remove that segment of bowel. Usually a temporary ostomy is
done, followed by joining the good segments of bowel. In my opinion, breast
milk would be the best for healing. Anyone else agree?
