Only LC's evaluate for nipple shields. The shields are not available thru
the hospital, but may be purchased by the mom from the LC. We give complete
instructions & have her follow up with us re: baby's weight & to make sure
there are no other problems with breastfeeding. We usually only recommend
them when baby is unable to latch onto breast by other means.
