I'm asking on behalf of a midwife who has a client with a 23 month old
child. Since about 3 months, the mother has had "profound" itching between
her breasts, especially at night. She is large-breasted, and her breasts
touch in that area when she's wearing a bra. She is braless at night, but
of course if she lies on her side they probably touch. There's no itching
beneath her breasts, where she must also have skin-on-skin.
Apparently there are no signs of thrush there or anywhere else; her skin
looks perfectly healthy. No hives, either. Just normal skin. That itches.
She is ready to wean over the constant annoyance.
Any thoughts beyond benedryl?
