There's one thing here that caught my attention:  it was around 2-3
weeks that the vomiting problem began.  That is a time when "colic"
or food sensitivities might first show up in term infants (I don't
know how a preemie's gut might differ).  So maybe the mastitis is a
red herring in this case.  Just thinking out loud here, perhaps the
babies are sensitive to something in mom's diet, and that sensitivity
happened to manifest itself at the same time she had mastitis.
