I was wondering if hospitals couldn't give out slings/soft carriers in lieu
of diaper bags? I personally love the Baby Bjorn but it runs a bit pricey.
Has anyone had any success with non-diaper bag gifts and if so do
manufacturers offer bulk/discount rate? Would any manufacturers be willing
to do so if they knew it was to support the WHO Code (i.e. no ABM
distribution) ?

Subject: gift packs, again
Today, we were informed that we can no longer give out formula co.
breastfeeding discharge diaper bags with formula and formula literature
removed.
I wonder what others are giving out, if anything, to breastfeeding
mothers. We have discussed only giving discharge bags to formula feeding
moms, unless the breastfeeding moms ask for them. I am concerned that this
may cause problems with breastfeeding moms who go home without one.
I remember some discussion about hospitals making there own breastfeeding
discharge bags, but was unable to find the info in the archives. Is there
anyone else out there that does provide their own breastfeeding friendly
diaper gift bag? If you do, where do you purchase the bags and what do you
put in them?
TIA,
