Lexapro is the effective portion of Celexa. When drugs are manufactured many times the mirror image molecule is also made. Usually the mirror image molecule is not effective in providing the desired effect but may produce side effects. So Lexapro being the effective part of Celexa should be the same or better than Celexa for the breastfeeding mom.
