Could it be that this baby is getting burped more fully after taking a bottle than after nursing? Is the baby spitting up with or without burps? If it does seem to be a case of extra air in the babe's tummy, encourage the parents to try to get a bubble out even before going to breast. I can't recall the reason that this baby was getting bottles of EBM in the first place, and wonder if this spit up problem began when the bottles began or before. If so, maybe the baby is not getting burped enough after the bottles and has a lot of residual air left when next going to the breast, which leads to all the extra spitting up after nursing.
This is my first attempt at writing to the list and was going to use the reply mode, but was afraid that my computer would send back the entire list and not just the one I was replying to. Could anyone tell me how it is done so that does not happen?
