"THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. Nurse-ins are protests - they create bad press
publicity - and portray breastfeeding mothers as zealots to be avoided."
With all due respect, I do not agree. Exercise of the right to protest
is a political choice activists have been making for centuries. It got
women the vote. I think taking the above quoted view in fact buys into
the view that breastfeeding in public *is* an extreme and unconventional
activity.
Now if I were to go into the dining room of a restaurant that insists
that nursing be done in the bathroom, dropped my drawers, and took a pee
(thus illustrating that if eating where people pee is good enough for my
baby, it is good enough for everyone) than perhaps I might be a
"zealot," though I would be more prone to call it good old fashioned
civil disobedience.
