A friend of mine had a nurse tell her that she couldn't allow her to hold
or nurse her baby during immunizations. When my friend pressed her for a
rationale, the nurse replied, "If she's nursing, she might move and I
might miss." To that, my friend replied that if she felt that insecure
with her aim, perhaps she could go get a different nurse who was more
comfortable. And that is exactly what she did- she got a different nurse!
I love it when moms get that good firm footing and recognize that they
have the right to make decisions!
