I was told by the m/w to only resort to alcohol if the stump was red and
smelly (indicating infection), but otherwise just to leave it and bathe
regularily...which I did. Sandrine's cord fell off at 6 days (though
interestingly she bled about a drop of blood or 2 from that site every
day for another 2 weeks) and my nephews, both alcoholed and not bathed
at the time, lost theirs at 21 days.
Fio, thinking seriously about lotus birth this time.
