I would look into the diapers.  I mean, see if
changing the brand or type of diaper would help. :-P
It hasn't for my son, who reddens easily, but it works
for some.   Zinc Oxide heals him up fairly quickly,
but I have to hide it from him because he associates
the cream with pain, even though he's already hurting
when I put it on.
