I think I've read study sometome, too.

I see a tendency (did not study it) that mothers who give bottles (formula or
own milk) next to breastfeeding are more likely to have shorter duration of
breastfeeding, because they tend to schedule feed (perhaps they have to due
to daycare and working, perhaps they percevere there milkyield as too small
or whatever reason). These children then tend to less comfort nursing and
skipping breastfeeds in favour of alternative foods sessions.
Mom and baby pairs who cue feed and baby comfort bfeeds as well as bfeeds for
food, will tend to adding other foods next to breastfeeds and continue to
comfort feed and thus continue to breastfeed longer, because it is less a
question of this food *or* that food, but more of breastfeeding *and* other
foods.
