I have a different twist on daily bottles. In my experience, babies given
daily bottles often wean earlier. This usually occurs around 10 months, when
the baby becomes aware of and interested in the world around them. Mother's
whose babies did not receive daily bottles will report baby is distracted,
may nurse for a minute or two then pull off and look around. They don't want
to miss anything. They are unaware that there is a way to drink and look
around. Babies that have received daily bottles are very aware of the fact
that they can drink and check out the world around them. At this point, many
of them prefer the bottle. This is purely personal observation.
