No, I never touch the breast or the baby.

I think this is partly to do with my role as a volunteer, and partly
because I don't think touching or handling would help me teach her or
help her learn. I am used to not touching, and it works for me. I
expect others can touch, and do it effectively, withut it interfering
with learning.

I am aware that others don't do it well though - I speak to many
women who are very confused and upset at home, because they are
unable to attach the baby themselves. Someone has always done it for
them, without teaching properly.
