I could add to that: "failure to thrive" as a diagnosis for what I perceive
to be slow or inadequate weight gain. Insurance companies won't pay for
hospitalization for poor weight gain, but they will pay for FTT. I haven't
seen one yet on our Peds floor that fits the description of what I have
learned is true FTT.
Will Medicaid providers pay for frenotomies, frenulotomies, frenectomies,
etc? Or will they only pay for "feeding difficulty-infant"?
