Georganne,

Your reference above is timely for me as I am currently working with a mom
from Egypt who speaks Arabic and French. An extremely kind older woman who
only recently met this young mother (who speaks very limited English and
understands less) speaks French and translated during the home visit. I am
currently without internet access due to computer troubles (soon to be fixed
hopefully) which only allow me email access, so will have to pass this info
on to husband and interpreter. The intrepreter looked on LLL website for
translated French BF material and found info but I'm wondering if anyone has
access to info in Arabic? French is second language for this mom and
interpreter states all info in French may lose something for her. Latching
and sore nipples are her problems, as well as somewhat compromised supply.
Gave her visual of "On Latching" with it's wonderful drawings, so that's a
help. Also, as she stated (Mom) she only plans to BF for 3-4 mos, info on
risks of formula would be beneficial. (Interpreter who BF her own 2 children
for a yr. back when it wasn't the norm, quickly told mom at least a yr was
preferable-it was priceless to observe)

Thank you.
