Just had to add - if you set your email program to preview emails, then the
attachments open automatically and you will be infected with the virus. It
is not enough to just not open attachments. I am still getting at least 2
viruses per day in my email - Norton blocks them everytime. But keep in mind
that you can't just install an antivirus program if you are already
infected. If you go to Norton's website, they have a way to check your
computer for viruses. If you have none, then you can then install a virus
protection program. If you do have viruses (I had so many I had to send my
harddrive out to be repaired) then you have to get rid of them first. And
yes, the person sending it to you could not be the sender - and you could
not know at all if you are the one with the virus - however, if you get an
email from Norton saying that you sent a virus, you can bet you have a
problem!!!
