Georgia Morrow writes about helping moms breastfeed after a C-Sec:

Georgia, what you describe here, is the point I'm having the most trouble
with,
as a breastfeeding support person.
It's one thing to help those who want your help, but dealing with moms who
"views human milk and nonhuman milk as equivalent", is something I'm having
a hard time dealing with. (where to start? how to make her feel I'm on *her*
side and not trying to push anything on her?)

You describe a situation where a mother after a C-Sec, still in the recovery
room, asking you to give a
bottle, and you *somehow* manage to talk to her about this, and she goes on
to happily breastfeed.

I'm sure you don't give her a full 3 hour lecture, and don't even state the
101 reasons to breastfeed :)
What I'm asking is - How do you do this?????? I'm amazed.
What are the main ideas you share with her, and how do you avoid making it
sound "fanatic"?
Are there any practical tips?

I would love to her any wisdom you or others have to share,
Thank you,
Efrat
Breastfeeding support person, from Jerusalem.
