I was interested in this case of the mother with sudden loss of supply who
is pumping a lot, and I wanted to second the opinion that dropping pumping
and going just to the baby may be what the situation needs. If only on the
time honored theory that if something stops working, try the opposite
technique.
I am intrigued by the lump and by the constant massage. Should the lump be
evaluated, via ultrasound? Is it due to the constant massage? Would someone
skilled at lymphatic drainage be helpful?
My instinct would be to try to change the breastfeeding experience, try a
babymoon, before trying oxytocin spray. I hope the Rescue Remedy worked
already.
Does anyone have thoughts on the sudden disappearance of letdown? I'm sure
it's been discussed before, but maybe someone has some new information.
