Or at least it is to me :-)

We have had 2 IBCLC's here at the WIC program in Miami Florida (Heidi
Agostinho and myself) ever since we both came on board 6 years ago.  This
year, for the first time, 4 of our coworkers in the Breastfeeding Program
sat for their IBLCE board exam.  Two started off as WIC participants, who
first became volunteer Peer Counselors, then employees.

Now I am thrilled to share with you that they have ALL passed, instantly
tripling the number of IBCLC's on staff at WIC in Miami-Dade County!
Well...I suppose "instantly" is the wrong word to choose; this has been
years in the making.

Even more than being happy for our program, I am happy for all 4 of these
incredible women, whom I am proud to call my friends.  Every single one of
them deserves a round of applause for their hard work, their passion for
breastfeeding, their compassion for other women, and their courage in the
face of other (in some cases seriously life-altering) problems going on in
their lives while they have pursued this career.

My congratulations to them and to all of the newly accredited IBCLCs around
the globe!
