I went looking through some great resources from some courses I did while
studying for THE exam. While working on Breast Ed's course #8 we were
learning about "drugs" (either pharmaceutical or herbal). One of the web
sites that I visited dealt a great deal with herbals. It gave LOTS of
information about them.

I hope this information is helpful

> I have a request from a mom who has been hospitalized throughout her later
part of pregnancy and now postpartum period with a severe flare-up of
ulcerative colitis. She has delivered and is successfully breastfeeding but
would like to go back on some supplements that she says really helped her
prior to pregnancy and wonders how they would affect breastfeeding. The
(many) ingredients are as follows.
>
> Glutamine, Glucosamine, Lipoic Acid, L. Acidopholus, L. Bifidus, Cats
Claw, Ginko, Licorice Root, Jerusalem Artichoke, Slippery Elm, Oligomeric
Proantho...,Grape seeds, Betaine, L-Glutamic Acid, Papain, Pepsin,
Pancreatin, Pancrelipase, Parotid.
