Any experience with other breastfeeding mothers using
Imuran 50mg po twice per day.  I currently have a
mother who has chron's disease and her
gastroenterologist wants her to "wean from
breastfeeding or he will fire her as a patient."
Checked Hale and used as resource for this doctor but
no luck with changing his thoughts.  I know the doc is
concerned about changing the immune system of the
baby; baby is 11 weeks old; we have offered to time
the medication so that the peak and 1/2 life have
"long expired."
Another fustrating week with attending physicians;
another day where "weaning" is always the first
answer.
