Having worked in hospitals in the past and also reading this list I have
heard so many comments about things being done to please JCAHO. I have been
through JCAHO twice while working in hospitals and know how invasive they
can be. My question is this; Who oversees JCAHO? Is there any oversight?
To make this breastfeeding related. If JCAHO came into a hospital and made
recommendations that are in direct opposition to good breastfeeding
policies, is there anyone over them that can be contacted? Is there any way
to fight any of their recommendations or are they the top of the line?
Thanks
