I have a mom who is on baby #3 and has always had supply problems. She
has been renting an Ameda breastpump from me and I have found out these
things piecemeal from phone calls with her. She said she had fertility
problems (no more details). With this last pregnancy she was diagnosed
with ACA+ (anti-cardio lipids ?). Says it is an autoimmune problem. I
have no experience with this at all. Just remember what Lisa Marasco
says about PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) being auto-immune and low
milk supply can be a result. Is there any relationship here? Mom says
she get about 1/4 oz total when she pumps, only has drips when she pumps,
no sprays, has been on domperidone for about a week. What do all of you
think? I told her to give domperidone 3 weeks. She's also wondering if
syntocinin spray for let-down would be helpful? I told her I'd ask all
of you.

Warmly,
Pat Bucknell, IBCLC
