I've just met a very poor migrant woman who had her baby in my Hospital. She
wants badly to breastfeeding but pediatricians are forbidding her to do it
because, according to her blood tests results, she is borderline positive
for hepatitis c. They say that she must be tested again to see either her
hepatitis is active or not.Her liver function is normal. It might take
several days to get the results and meanwhile the baby is receiving
artificial milk. The mother is pumping. Do you think their conduct is
correct and,if not have you got any information to show them?
