Since when does "thin-looking" breast milk mean it is fat-free? My milk
was always bluish and very watery looking, but my babies gained at least
2-3 lbs a month for the first 5 months.
I'm sorry that I don't know the name of the person who wrote in saying
if the milk was too thin-looking, it could mean there was not enough
fat.
Now, I do agree that after the milk settles out and the fat rises, that
some bottles of EBM seem to have more settling than others. But I think
it depends of time of day, how long you pump, how well your MER works
that pumping, etc. etc. etc.
But just looking at one bottle of EBM will not the story tell.
