> Moms For Milk Breastfeeding Network
Further to Janice's post above, note CTV's web site article includes this
paragraph (yay):
>At current levels, there is no current evidence that the chemicals pose a risk
>to human health and breast-feeding is still the safest way to feed babies, said
>Mark Feeley, a toxicologist with Health Canada.
But the feature that aired on our local CTV affiliate did not include this
info.
Further, here is an item in "The Independent" on the same issue:
Dioxins in babies at 85 times safety limit"
http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/environment/story.jsp?story=352954
The article includes this sentence:
>But the Government and environmentalists continue to encourage mothers to
>breastfeed their babies.
But the reassurance immediately follows this sentence, note the word
"danger":
> And though dioxin levels have fallen over the last decade, it lingers so long
> in women's bodies that the report says the Government "is unable to predict
> with any confidence" when "exposure of breastfed babies" will fall beneath the
> danger level.
