I have a client whose baby has a very sensitive GI tract--allergies,
reflux, painful gas.

He is about 3 months old, though he was born about 5 weeks early. Mom has
eliminated the offending foods--the usual with some "exotics" added. She
wasn't sure about wheat and had a speck over the weekend and he is
suffering since.

She also had some white wine. She is wondering if wine has been shown to
irritate a baby's GI tract if he is sensitive to begin with. She hopes not
because her diet is very limited and the glass of wine with dinner was real
treat.

She knows that the wheat is the main cause but wonderes about the wine.

What is your experience?
