Sounds fishy to me. As a former dental assistant, I'm wondering why they are
even attempting an extraction in office on a two year old. Now there are
medications that they can give the child that would put the child out in
office (Noc-tec is one. I know that isn't *technically* what it is called
anymore, but I can't think of the name). With those types of sedatives, yes
it is no breakfast before coming in, but usually water, and juice is
acceptable. I would think breastmilk would be as well. (I wasn't married, or
nursing when I was working in that field.)
