Oh, the challenges of becoming an official Medicaid Provider.

Here's a question for all you politically savvy people in the USA:
I heard recently that Pres. Clinton signed an Executive Order requiring
all Medicaid Providers to provide something else: an interpreter for all
non-English-speaking patients / clients. Don't that make you think twice!

That's why our hosp has about six Spanish interpreters and an electronic
box on a phone line where we can call someone - for a big fee - and have
them translate our conversations. Everyone talks into the box and the box
talks back translating both languages.

You still sure you want to do this as a small PPLC? Even if it IS
reimbursed? But if Medicaid will reimburse the cost of the interpreter or
the squawk box, maybe we'll talk... maybe!
