I cannot believe this happened.  Especially in Liz
Baldwin’s backyard!

Particularly in light of the reception to the recent
Rob Nelson show which discussed nursing children past
the age of six, and repeatedly showed a photo
(obviously not developed at BJ's) of a mother tandem
nursing her 2 year old and 6 year old.  The only
dissent from the audience on the show came from the
two women arranged to appear and dissent.  I have
heard surprisingly good reviews from a variety of
corners.  Here on Lactnet there was little comment,
maybe most of us are too busy getting the nursing
going to worry about how it’s winding down.

Not so long ago Dateline put together a piece on older
nurslings but apparently never aired it.  The show
actively sought MDs who would go on air saying there
was something wrong with nursing older children.
Rumor has it no one could be found.

The idea of nursing older children seems to be moving
from “shocking” to “Oh yeah, my sister-in-law does
that, I wouldn’t, what’s for dinner?”

So Heidi, if the clerk truly thought something was
wrong, why didn’t she turn you in for whatever it is
you did wrong?  If I saw a photo of something I
believed to be wrong, for example molestation of a
minor, I would not warn the predator to be more
discrete.  I would turn the evidence over to someone
who could protect the child.  Am I missing something
here?

Is the problem nudity, age of child, or the novel use
of the breast as a feeding aid?

This seems to be more about harassment of you as a
woman, and as a mother.
