Anne, thanks for the reference.

And yes it’s true! -– breastfeeding is listed as the
last thing on the list, and just like this:

“Breastfeeding. If possible, you should consider
breastfeeding your baby. Breast milk helps to keep
your baby healthy.”

And no, I’ve left nothing out.  Surely this does not
reflect the can-do attitude toward breastfeeding we
all know the AAP wishes to portray!  Is anyone on this
list in a position to fix this problem?

Kind of reminds me of the time a well-intentioned but
nameless state health department launched a “healthy
babies” campaign to immunize with ad photos of babies
bottle feeding and plugged with pacifiers.

Sometimes the left hand and the right are busily at
odds.
