I hope this doesn't violate the "commercials" rule, however I have received several requests of how to order the LC Series.  The LC Series is written by different authors (some names you will recognize from Lactnet :-)  LC Series 1 consists of 18 pamphlets on various subjects and LC Series 2 is now expanded to 7 issues, including a new one #6 on Candidiasis and Breastfeeding.  All of these can be reviewed by going to www.lalecheleague.org and looking at the product catalog part 3, page 14 or so.

Another thought, many early  LCs came from a LLL background and are familiar with what LLL offers.  It would probably be very useful for newer LCs, without LLL background, to familiarize themselves with what LLL has to offer by exploring their website.
