Hi Janice, maybe you could point out that some moms,
like me, happily nurse in public in order to show that
it can be done. I nurse discreetly in public (but not
discretely- "discrete" is "Constituting a separate
thing" or "Defined for a finite or countable set of
values; not continuous") I believe that the more
often someone sees a nursing mom, the more "normal" it
appears to others. Yeah, some may find it disgusting,
but that's because they've only seen it a couple of
times.
Occasionally my husband, when seeing a woman nursing
with a blanket draped over herself and the baby will
say to me, "That woman is not nursing a baby." If
they dont' want to draw attention to the act of
nursing, I think "covering" is a good way to do the
opposite.
