I too had a mammogram while breastfeeding. I had a baseline done 5 months
after my firstborn weaned. I was 36. I was to go back for a recheck on the
right 6 months later and ended up canceling because I was pregnant.
My primary physician wasn't to concerned since it didn't look suspicious. I
actually didn't go back for another mamo until my daughter was 3 and I was 40
and still nursing.
Again they wanted a re check on the left. Went again and all was fine.
I had another mamo 2 years later and my daughter was now 5 (and still
nursing) and it came back fine.
I told them the first 2 times I was nursing but the last time I said
nothing, since she was nursing so little at the time (maybe 4 times a week)
