I once gave 2+ year old breastmilk to my son. He had an ear infection
after he was weaned and I was pregnant for his sister, and screamed for
hours one night. In desperation I reached to the back of the freezer,
pulled out a plastic bag of milk, defrosted it, and gave it to him in
his cup. He drank it, sighed, and fell asleep. By the next morning
when I took him to the ped, the eardrum had ruptured, and he had no
problems from the ancient milk.
