This conversation reminds me that when my oldest son was born (1993) I received an abridged copy of Kathleen Huggins' "Nursing Mothers Companion" among the pile of freebies from the hospital. It was in booklet form--I think it was mostly the survival guide section, but it was very clearly marked as being a gift from whichever formula company the hospital was working with.
