"Now having a doctor prescribe it, that is one of
the challenges. .... Does anyone know any problems involved with this protocol?
Statistics on success rate, problems, etc? Legal concerns?
Is domperidone FDA approved? Most or all of the local physicians are not
familiar with this protocol.."

I have used domperidone for years for low milk supply. I used to prescribe it and fax the RX to a pharmacy in Toronto, who would ship it to the patient. However, the law has changed in Canada, I think because people went there for cheaper medicines, and now you must be licensed in Canada to prescribe there. No, Domperidone is not FDA approved. That is not because there is anything wrong with it, but because the process is expensive and the drug company decided to put a different medicine for GI motility through. (That's the original use).
Might I suggest you call the local Midwives and Nurse Practitioners to see if they are willing to prescribe this protocol? Some will be more nervous, but some will be more open-minded to new things, and "lifestyle" concerns rather than just what is printed in JAMA. Please don't overlook this resource for support!
