Under the direction of
>lactation expert Joan Younger Meek, MD, MS, RD, FAAP, IBCLC>
I would NEVER want to publically flame someone. Is Dr. Meek available to
explain her point of view on this issue? I have heard her speak over the
years at MANY lactation education events and have the utmost respect for her
and her knowledge. I think we are getting hot under the collar at the wrong
organization....the AAP has been sucked in by Ross. And from my conversations
with the Ross reps who service our hospital, they don't even KNOW about this
book.
And Jaye, you ARE confusing the huggins booklet with the AAP booklet.
They are not the same thing. The AAP booklet was developed by the AAP,
perhaps if you email Betty Crase she will be able to send one to you. They
are in the AAP catalog on-line at the AAP webite.
