Blind moms can be taught to place their thumb on the areola, where the
corner of baby's mouth should be. Then they can feel for baby;s lips
and make sure they are in the right place before pulling baby in.
The baby can also be taught to do more of the work. If mom reclines a
bit and holds baby prone on her chest, the baby can usually find and
attach to the nipple alone.
