You are right. I also have made it through my childbearing
years w/o ultrasound. I talk about that in my classes as
well. Unfortunately, by the time I see them in their 8th
month, they've already had several, so I end up telling them
that whatever their doctor said about the size of the baby
at their last ultrasound in month 8 is basically meaningless
with regard to size.
I would love to be able to teach an early pregnancy, so
that I could touch on all the issues of nutrition,
prenatal testing, etc. that it's too late for by the
time I see them in childbirth classes. Does anyone offer
such classes? I have written a curriculum and even taught
it once. It's hard to promote such a class. Any suggestions?
