This is the breast feeding support group that a group of LCs, including
myself, run at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond. We meet twice a month for
approx. an hour. We have had excellent turnouts. We feel we have helped
many Moms and their new babies. We get a wide range from newborn to
toddlers. We LCs were excited to hear that the reporter would be there.
We discussed mother's issues as always. As you know poor Gretchen,
featured in the article about being fired, has had quite a hard time.
Need less to say, in that respect, it was nice having the reporter there
on that particular day. I must admit, we were disappointed in the
article. We were under the impression that it would be on our breast
feeding support group and the great results that we have had. We were
quite surprised when we read the article. On the bright side, breast
feeding got a page and a half in the Richmond paper and it has caught
peoples attention.
