I've been skimming my Lactnet digests, so I apologize if this has been
mentioned, but if a mom is hypertensive and swollen, is the baby more
likely to have a lot of swelling at birth? I'm wondering if some of the
worrisome weight losses in these babies could be that their swelling was
a result of swelling in the mom. Just total speculation here, as I'm not
a medical professional. But it doesn't seem that different than the
swelling that can occur as a result of IV fluids to the mom in labor.
