OT, PT, PA, NP, RN - licensed by the state, IBCLC is not. Not that that
makes the OT, PT, PA, NP or RN special, it just means that there is
somewhere to go - the state licensing agency - when there is an error or
problem with an individuals practice. I suspect many states will begin to
include IBCLC's as licensed professionals, but whose board will it fall
under?
