I read the post about the baby with bloody stools and Mom's diet. Years
ago, my family used the Feingold diet because one of my children could
not handle any artificial colors or preservatives. We were also
cautioned about foods, including almonds, that contain salicylates - -
the chemical that aspirin is made from. We know that aspirin can cause
GI bleeding. Maybe a good suggestion for the mother would be to take
the almond butter out of her diet because of the salicylates in it.
