This is an incorrect or incomplete statement of AAP. It is not only the
breastmilk that keeps babies healthy. Ofcourse the antiinfective properties
of human milk are needed to stay healthy in an environment loaded with ill
making factors. But the act of feeding at breast secures a good structure of
the head anatomy. Not feeding at breast increases risks of malformation of
the palate, jaws and oralnasal room, thus enhancing breething difficulties,
which may be a factor in sudden infamt death. See the work of Brian Palmer.
